Mulligatawny Soup (M, TNT)
Source: adapted from my old old Betty Crocker cookbook
Serves: 6

1 medium onion, sliced
1/4 cup canola or peanut oil
1 medium carrot, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1 green pepper, seeded and diced
1 med apple, pared, cored and sliced
1 cup cooked chicken, cut up
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp. curry powder
1/8 tsp. mace
2 whole cloves
A pinch of dried parsley
2 cup chicken-flavored soup from mix
1 to 2 cups canned tomatoes

Sauté onion in oil in soup pot.

Add all vegetables, apple, and chicken. Gradually stir in rest of ingredients. Simmer covered for 1/2 hour.

Poster's Notes:
I only had nutmeg but I think mace would be better.

For the chicken soup mix, the real thing would be better, of course.
