Kiwi-Tomato Mint Salad (P, KLP, TNT)

Serves: 6

6 large tomatoes
6 kiwis/kiwifruits
2 or more handfuls whole fresh mint leaves torn from the stems

Slice the kiwis and tomatoes not too thinly (just so they keep round shape when mixed).

Mix kiwis, tomatoes, and mint leaves in bowl together.

Season with olive oil, wine vinegar, salt, and black pepper.

Poster's Notes:
Kiwis can be funny things. I once added them to cottage cheese thinking it would be good for breakfast. (I was out of bananas and raisins.) It turned the cottage cheese a really horrible bitter flavor.

A nice surprise is how well kiwis go with tomatoes, though. Guests always love it when I make this salad.
