Chicken, Cranberry w/Mandarin Orange and Cherries (M, KLP, TNT)
Source: Unknown
Serves: 8 to 10

2 chickens, cut into eighths, or the equivalent in any combination you desire
1 standard can whole cranberries
1 27g envelope dry onion soup mix
1 8 to 10-ounce bottle of French or Russian dressing
1 standard can pitted dark cherries
2 11-ounce cans or 1 large can mandarin oranges

Combine dressing, soup mix, and cranberries in a bowl. Coat chicken pieces with the mixture.

Place chicken in a single layer in a large pan and bake at 350°F for about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Drain fruit and add to pan. Continue baking for about another 20 minutes or until done.

Remove chicken to serving platter and cover with fruit. Degrease gravy (use a separator), and pass gravy separately.

Poster's Notes:
The first time I served this chicken dish, my brother renamed it "Miracle Chicken" because he could not believe that something that tasted this good came from such an unappetizing combination of ingredients.
