Tart Pastry Dough (D, TNT)
Source: a Canadian lady in a party
Yield: 24 mini-shells, 12 large

1-1/2 cups flour
12 tbsp. butter
1/3 cup confectioner sugar

Pre-heat oven to 375°F.

Mix all the ingredients together to form the dough. Divide into 24 pieces a little less than walnut size. Press each into the bottoms and sides of ungreased miniature muffin tins. Cupcake tins may be used with the dough reaching only 1/3 cup the sides of the molds.

Fill each with about 1 tsp. filling. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool for 20 minutes and remove with the tip of a knife, and cool on a wire rack.

Poster's Notes:
Some time ago I went to a block party and a Canadian lady brought Butter Tarts (click here for recipe). They were the hit of the party. Everyone requested the recipe. I have been making them ever since. It is super good, it only has a few ingredients and it is so easy to remove the tarts from the pan, just place the tip of a paring knife along one side of the miniature tarts and the tart will easily be removed.
