Gefilte Fish, Mexican (P, KLP, TNT)

Serves: 4

1 jar gefilte fish, drained
1 can tomato sauce
2 onions, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
pepper and lemon juice to taste

Sauté onion, mushrooms, and green peppers until lightly browned. Add tomato sauce and simmer to blend flavors. Season with pepper and lemon juice to taste.

Place drained fish balls in baking pan, cover with tomato sauce, bake for 30 minutes at 350°F. Serve cold on lettuce leaves with salsa or horseradish.
