Bombe, Chocolate (D, KLP)

Serves: 4-6

1 teaspoon gelatin
1 cup cold water
1 cup milk
1-1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pint double cream (heavy or whipping cream)

Soak gelatin in the water for 5 minutes.

Boil the milk with the sugar and the cocoa, dissolve the gelatin in this mixture and cool it. Add the vanilla and chill the mixture until it is about to set.

Fold it lightly into the stiffly beaten cream.
