Truffles, Chocolate I (D, TNT)
Source: who knows? I've had this recipe for years and years
Yield: Makes about 3 dozen pieces

5 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla (you can also use a coffee, orange, etc., flavored liqueur)

Melt chocolate in the top of a double boiler. Add condensed milk and vanilla (or liqueur) and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Set aside to cool to room temperature.

Shape into small balls, about 1", and roll in one or more of the following: plain cocoa powder, chopped nuts, sprinkles, grated coconut. (An assortment with several coatings packed in a nice box makes a lovely gift.)

Store these in the refrigerator.
