Sourdough Blueberry Bread (D, TNT)
Source: Self
Serves: 8

1-1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup each salad oil and milk
3/4 cup sourdough starter, room temperature (click for recipe)
1 cup fresh blueberries, or canned (well drained)

Grease well 10" heavy iron cast skillet. Put in oven and preheat to 375°F.

In a big bowl mix all dry ingredients. In another bowl beat egg lightly; add oil and milk.

Add to dry ingredients with the sourdough starter; stir until well combined. Gently fold in berries that I dust with flour.

Take out the well warm skillet, pour batter and sprinkle 2 tablespoons sugar on top. Return back to oven and bake 35-40 minutes.

Serve warm, with butter, jam, or marmalade. If you have leftovers, it freezes very well.
