Chocolate Chip Cake (D/P, TNT)

2-1/2 cup flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream (*see note)
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts suggested)
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.

Cream butter and sugar and beat in eggs one at a time. Add sour cream and vanilla. Add flour mixture to creamed butter mixture and mix together.

Mix remaining ingredients for topping and filling.

Grease a tube pan. Pour 1/2 of the batter in the pan then sprinkle on 1/2 the chocolate chip mixture. Add the remainder of the batter, the sprinkle the remainder of the chocolate chip nut mix on top.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.

Poster's Notes: I substituted 1 cup Rich's pareve milk substitute and 1 tbsp. lemon juice for the sour cream to make the cake pareve.
