Source: Beth Hensperger

1 large egg plus 1 egg yolk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups bread flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened Dutch process cocoa powder
1 tablespoon gluten
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1-3/4 teaspoons SAF yeast or 2-1/4 teaspoon bread machine yeast
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Put ingredients into bread machine. Bake on regular or sweet bread cycle. Add chips at beep.

Poster's Notes:
For a 2 pound loaf use: 1-1/4 cup water, 2 large eggs, 3 tablespoons oil, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, 4 cups bread flour, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup unsweetened Dutch process cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon gluten, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons SAF yeast or 2-1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast, and 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Serve this with cream cheese.

This bakes up beautifully in my machine (a Zojirushi). Normally when I use the machine, I don't bake in the machine, but for this loaf, it really isn't necessary to bake in the oven.
