Cocoa Syrup (P, KLP)
Source: "Five Roses Flour: A Guide to Good Cooking" (1938)
Yield: 3/4 cup

1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup cold water
1/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix cocoa and cold water to a paste. Add boiling water and sugar, Boil for 3 minutes, while stirring to prevent burning.

When almost cold, add vanilla and pour into a scalded one-pint sealer.

Store in refrigerator and use as required.
