Sloppy Joes, Super (M, TNT)
Source: Taste of Home
Serves: 8 to 10

2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 stalks celery with leaves, chopped
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1-2/3 cups canned crushed tomatoes
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce (click here for recipes)
1 tbsp. steak sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic salt or 1 clove garlic, finely minced
1/4 tsp. ground mustard
1/4 tsp. paprika
8-10 hamburger buns, split

In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook beef, onion, celery, and green pepper until the meat is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender; drain.

Add the next nine ingredients; mix well. Simmer, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon 1/2 cup meat mixture onto each bun and serve (with lots of napkins!).

Poster's Notes:
I make this with my Girl Scout troupe. We sometimes add about a teaspoon of chili powder to the seasoning mix for a slightly different flavor and a bit more zest.
