1-1/2 to 2 pounds ground beef, lean 
Mix all ingredients together gently; shape into a loaf. Place in a shallow baking dish and bake for 1 to 1-1/2 hours, or until done.

1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup fine bread crumbs or 2 or 3 slices of bread, shredded
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper, optional
1 tbsp. prepared mustard, optional
1 tsp. salt or to taste
1/4 tsp. black pepper
