Hamentaschen

I came from Lithuanian grandparents and all my grandmother made, when I was small, was the yeast dough hamentaschen. I taught my grandmother how to make the cookie dough kind. She also made yeast dough, jellyroll styled, coffee cakes with poppy seeds as well.

She was a baker in Russia. I miss the smell of her house but not the pounds I put on from the wonderful pastries.
